Meet Stewart
Born and raised in Dawson, Georgia, Stewart Parnacott is a nurse anesthetist, small business owner, and affordability advocate running for State House 90 which includes East Atlanta, Candler Park, Bouldercrest, Kirkwood, Edgewood, Druid Hills, Conley, Lake Claire, Ellenwood, Gresham Park, Kirkwood, and Poncey-Highlands.
Stewart was born at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, the first hospital he worked out after graduating from the University of Georgia and University of South Alabama’s nursing school. After getting his master’s in nursing anesthesia, Stewart served patients at Piedmont Newton Hospital. He now practices at Emory University Hospital Midtown and at several rural hospitals including Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA, Morgan Medical Center in Madison, GA, and Putnam General Hospital in Eatonton, GA. Stewart will receive his doctorate in nursing practice his December.
Stewart knows that having an affordable roof over your head and a quality education are the first steps towards upward economic mobility. That’s why he and his partner, Adam, develop affordable housing units across the Atlanta area in tandem with Let Our House Be Your Home which helps formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate with a place to call home.
Stewart and his partner Adam live in East Atlanta with their three rescue dogs, Tubs, Kiki and Seven, as well as their two rescue cats, Fuego and Rojo
