Education
When it comes to education, Stewart Parnacott knows that YOU are District 90’s best investment. The success of district 90 relies on education as the major driver of economic mobility. When our children succeed, Georgia as a whole succeeds. No matter the zip code where a child is born or the salary of that household, children deserve the attention of those in the Georgia House of Representatives to ensure that every child has the tools to reach his or her highest potential. From reasonably priced, high-quality childcare to exceptional post-secondary educational opportunities, Stewart is committed to setting the stage for a lifetime of success for the children of Georgia’s district 89.
As a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, Stewart will:
- Partner with the federal government’s American Families Plan to create “free, high-quality, accessible and inclusive preschool to all three and four year olds” here in Georgia;
- Update the QBE to secure the full amount of funding to which public schools are entitled to make district 90 an educational powerhouse;
- Respect and support the needs of the diversified student population, in addition to locating the funding necessary for each educator to be successful in the classroom;
- Fund mental health resources for children and make safe schools a priority
- Reinforce ways and means for debt-free graduation, bolster the HOPE Scholarship, connect more students with tuition-free technical college, and build pathways for more need and merit-based scholarships; and
- Advocate for increased teacher salaries in the budget and make sure our teachers have the resources they need in the classroom.
